In the late summer of 2013 when a few friends, new and old, decided to cram their instruments into the bonus room above a garage out in the boons of Sault Ste. Marie, an ideal was born. Since then they’ve lost and gained some members but the ideal remained the same, to create something different. With an eclectic collaboration of talents they have fuzed their sounds into what they have affectionately dubbed “post-punk garage wave”.

GNÆUS, is an experiment. Take a few friends with a drive to create something new, splash in some shenanigans, add a dash of melancholy and bam! You’ve got a home grown sound from the drudges of a Northern Ontario border town that refuses to be compared.
